Brett started in the financial services profession in 1999.  The Atlantic Financial Group, LLC was formed shortly there after.  The firms philosophy in working with all of it's clients is to guide them thru a "Process".  This Process is aimed to help the client crystallize their goals and objectives. 

Brett is a charitable gift donor adviser thru the MDRT Foundation Global Gift Fund.  In the industry over the years Brett has been consistently been awarded both the National Quality Award and the National Sales Achievement Award from NAIFA.  He serves as a mentor on the MDRT mentoring program for brand new agents in the business. 

Brett is also a Silver Knight-level donor in the MDRT Foundation which is the philanthropic arm of the MDRT.  Brett has been featured in numerous financial articles and has spoken at many insurance and financial practices around the area.  Currently Brett is the President of NAIFA- Anne Arundel which is the local chapter of NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisor's)

Shannon Hatfield

After spending over ten years in the mortgage industry, Shannon joined the Atlantic Financial Group, LLC in early 2008.  Shannon is a huge asset to the company, while over seeing the daily operations, including the scheduling of all appointments.  Shannon strides to proved excellent service to all clients new and existing.  Shannon also maintains the accuracy of all our client accounts.  Shannon is married to her husband Ray and is the proud mom of tow beautiful children Brennen and Delaney.  The family resides in Pasadena.

 J.D. earned his law degree from the University of Houston and his B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. His first job out of law school was as a Tax Auditor for the Internal Revenue Service. In 2000, J.D. joined The Nautilus Group®, where his responsibilities included managing a group of attorneys preparing case analysis for high net-worth individuals and business owners. In 2007, J.D. joined the Advanced Planning Group. J.D.’s areas of interest include working with agents to help owners of closely-held businesses develop business succession strategies. His article, "Disability Issues in Buy-Sell Planning," was published in the Journal of Financial Services Professionals.

 

Daniel A. Ogden, CLU

A bachelor of Science in Education graduate of Penn State University, Dan Ogden taught high school Mathematics before accepting and agent contract with New York Life in Fredericksburg, VA.  During his eight years as an agent he subsequently moved to Richmond, VA where he accepted a position in the management.  During Dan's thirteen years attached to the Richmond General Office, he held the position of Sales Manager and Training Manager before becoming Life Product Consultant for the South Central Zone in September 2000 covering the states of Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and District of Columbia. 

In that capacity, he assists agent in the promotion of sales concepts and the sales of life insurance products.  Dan attained his CLU designation in 1993 and is Past President of the Richmond Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisor's. 

He also is a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals where he has served in various capacities.  Married with tow grown sons, Cameron and Hunter, Dan lives in Midlothian a suburb of Virginia.  He lives with his wife Karla, with whom he has been married since 1975.

In his 15 years of industry experience, Bob has been a successful agent and brokerage consultant, and has served as Development Manager for the Charlotte and Savannah General Offices over the last ten years.

Bob graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Risk Management and Insurance, with a major concentration in Estate Management (Estate Planning), and was named “Estate Management Student of the Year” in 1991. Bob completed his CLU and ChFC designations in 1998.  Bob, his wife Adrienne and son Tyler live in Northern, VA.

With over 20 years in the financial services business working exclusively in planning for Long Term Care Chuck is responsible for sales and marketing of New York Life Long Term Care Insurance.  He has been with New York Life sense 2003.  Chuck works closely with Brett and his clientèle, especially in the business market place Implementing plans for law firms and physicians and many other corporate entities. 

With a rich knowledge for all aspects of the Long Term Care Insurance.  Early on in his career he served as an independent account executive and took care of Long Term Care accounts that included: Smith Barney, AG Edwards, Payne Webber, Prudential Financial. 

Chuck attended Wesley College in Wilmington DE and Delaware Technical & Community College, Wilmington, DE.  He has earned both the professional designation CLTC from the Corporation for Long-Term Care Certification. (1999) and the professional designation LTCP from the American Health Insurance Plans (2003).  The most recognized designations for Long Term Care planning.
